During the COVID-19 pandemic, we provide special cleaning and hygiene measures for our house, following the recommendations of the official website of the French government.

How do we clean and disinfect Illixo cottage?

Protection of cleaning staff

Before cleaning, the cleaning staff will wear disposable gloves and a mask. He will also wear a blouse and his own shoes will remain outside.

Cleaning before disinfection

Before disinfecting the various surfaces with bleach or alcohol over 70%, all surfaces will be cleaned beforehand with soap and water or a detergent, to facilitate the eradication of the virus.

Disinfection of house surfaces

In-depth disinfection will be carried out on all surfaces, emphasizing the most used: door handles, switches, remote controls, kitchen and sanitary fittings, worktops and sink, toilets and showers, sink, banister, chairs … with disinfectants. Then we will use an ozone generator to destroy viruses (including COVID-19 coronavirus), microbes, bacteria and fugi (efficiency: 99,9%).

Housing ventilation

Systematic ventilation of all rooms will be carried out after use of the ozone generator.

Linens

During this pandemic period, the household linen will be washed at 60 ° and for 30 minutes minimum. For fabrics and surfaces such as carpets and curtains, appropriate cleaners will be used according to the manufacturers’ instructions.

Non-essential objects and decorations

Even in this particular period, thanks to the ozone generator we can keep all the objects, furnitures and decoration as before because they will be entirely disinfected.

Destruction of all opened products

If usually, we provide our guests with condiments or some food products such as coffee or sugar, we will have to destroy them and remove them from the Illixo cottage when they are already opened so as not to put our guests at risk . We think it’s better to throw them out.

Leisure activities available

Whether it’s board games or sport equipments, they will be disinfected by the ozone generator.

Display

We will clearly display our cleaning and disinfection policies and procedures in the house to reassure our guests, to whom, of course, we will provide all the appropriate cleaning and disinfection products during their stay so that they can disinfect  whatever they bought outside the house and reassure themselves.

Special booking measures

During this period of coronavirus crisis, thanks to the ozone generator we don’t need special booking measures anymore.
